ABSTRACT: In the latest years, several studies described the impact of repetitive/intermittent i.v. levosimendan treatment in the management of advanced heart failure. For this updated review, we systematically searched the literature for clinical trials, registries , and real-world data and identified 31 studies that we commented in a narrative review: 3814 patients were described, of whom 1744 were treated repetitively with levosimendan. On the basis of the nature of the study protocols and of the end points, out of those studies, we further selected 9 that had characteristics, making them suitable for a meta-analysis on mortality. This short list describes data from 680 patients (of whom 399 received repeated doses of levosimendan) and 110 death events (of which 50 occurred in the levosimendan cohort). In the meta-analysis, repetitive/intermittent therapy with i.v. levosimendan was associated with a significant reduction in mortality at the longest time point available: 50 of 399 (12.5%) versus 60 of 281 (21.4%) in the control arms, with a risk ratio of 0.62 (95% confidence interval, 0.42-0.90; P < 0.01). In a sensitivity analysis, removing each trial and reanalyzing the remaining data set did not change the trend, magnitude, or significance of the results. A visual inspection of the funnel plot did not suggest publication bias. The results provide a very strong rationale for continuing to investigate the repetitive use of levosimendan in patients with advanced heart failure by properly powered regulatory clinical trials. Meanwhile, it seems that the use of repetitive/intermittent i.v. levosimendan infusions has become one of the few effective options for preserving the hemodynamic and symptomatic balance in such patients.

BACKGROUND: The hemodynamic status of newborns with intracranial arteriovenous shunts (AVSs) may be extremely complex. Mini-invasive hemodynamic monitoring through innovative techniques such as Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) and Pressure Recording Analytical Method (PRAM) may help in understanding hemodynamics in newborns with AVSs. Levosimendan is a calcium sensitizer and inodilator, and it is known to improve ventricular function, but its use in newborns is limited. In our cases, we evaluated the effect of levosimendan on hemodynamics through NIRS and PRAM. CASE PRESENTATION: Herein, we report the cases of two neonates with intracranial arteriovenous shunts, in whom we used levosimendan to manage cardiac failure refractory to conventional treatment. Levosimendan was used at a dosage of 0.1 mcg/kg/min for 72 h. Combined use of NIRS and PRAM helped in real-time monitoring of hemodynamic effects; in particular, levosimendan determined significant improvement in myocardium contractility as well as a reduction of heart rate. CONCLUSION: In two neonatal cases of AVSs, levosimendan led to an overall hemodynamic stabilization, documented by the combination of NIRS and PRAM. Our results suggest introducing levosimendan as a second-line treatment in cases of severe cardiac dysfunction due to AVSs without improvement using standard treatment strategies. Future prospective and larger studies are highly warranted.

BACKGROUND: Accidental hypothermia, recognized by core temperature below 35 °C, is a lethal condition with a mortality rate up to 25%. Hypothermia-induced cardiac dysfunction causing increased total peripheral resistance and reduced cardiac output contributes to the high mortality rate in this patient group. Recent studies, in vivo and in vitro, have suggested levosimendan, milrinone and isoprenaline as inotropic treatment strategies in this patient group. However, these drugs may pose increased risk of ventricular arrhythmias during hypothermia. Our aim was therefore to describe the effects of levosimendan, milrinone and isoprenaline on the action potential in human cardiomyocytes during hypothermia. METHODS: Using an experimental in vitro-design, levosimendan, milrinone and isoprenaline were incubated with iCell2 hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and cellular action potential waveforms and contraction were recorded from monolayers of cultured cells. Experiments were conducted at temperatures from 37 °C down to 26 °C. One-way repeated measures ANOVA was performed to evaluate differences from baseline recordings and one-way ANOVA was performed to evaluate differences between drugs, untreated control and between drug concentrations at the specific temperatures. RESULTS: Milrinone and isoprenaline both significantly increases action potential triangulation during hypothermia, and thereby the risk of ventricular arrhythmias. Levosimendan, however, does not increase triangulation and the contractile properties also remain preserved during hypothermia down to 26 °C. CONCLUSIONS: Levosimendan remains a promising candidate drug for inotropic treatment of hypothermic patients as it possesses ability to treat hypothermia-induced cardiac dysfunction and no increased risk of ventricular arrhythmias is detected. Milrinone and isoprenaline, on the other hand, appears more dangerous in the hypothermic setting.

Background: Efficient theranostic strategies concurrently bring and use both the therapeutic and diagnostic features, serving as a cutting-edge tool to combat advanced cancers. Goals of the Investigation: Here, we develop stimuli-sensitive theranostics consisting of tailored copolymers forming micellar conjugates carrying pyropheophorbide-a (PyF) attached by pH-sensitive hydrazone bonds, thus enabling the tumor microenvironment-sensitive activation of the photodynamic therapy (PDT) effect, fluorescence or phosphorescence. Results: The nanomedicines show superior anti-tumor PDT efficacy and huge tumor-imaging potential, while reducing their accumulation, and potentially side effects, in the liver and spleen. The developed theranostics exhibit clear selective tumor accumulation at high levels in the mouse sarcoma S180 tumor model with almost no PyF found in the healthy tissues after 48 h. Once in the tumor, illumination at λexc = 420 nm reaches the therapeutic effect due to the 1O2 generation. Indeed, an almost complete inhibition of tumor growth is observed up to 18 days after the treatment. Conclusion: The clear benefit of the specific PyF release and activation in the acidic tumor environment for the targeted delivery and tissue distribution dynamics was proved. Conjugates carrying pyropheophorbide-a (PyF) attached by pH-sensitive hydrazone bonds showed their excellent antitumor PDT effect and its applicability as advanced theranostics at very low dose of PyF.

Background: Cancer multidrug resistance (MDR) is an important factor that severely affects the chemotherapeutic efficacy. Among various methods to bypass MDR, usage of cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) is attractive, which exerts antitumor effects of immunotherapeutic response and apoptotic/proinflammatory pathways. Nevertheless, the challenges remain how to implement targeted delivery of TNFα to reduce toxicity and manifest the involved signaling mechanism that subdues MDR. Methods: We synthesized a multifunctional nanosytem, in which TNFα covalently bound to doxorubicin (Dox)-loaded pH-responsive mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN) through bi-functional polyethylene glycol (TNFα-PEG-MSN-Hydrazone-Dox) as a robust design to overcome MDR. Results: The salient features of this nanoplatform are: 1) by judicious tailoring of TNFα concentration conjugated on MSN, we observed it could lead to a contrary effect of either proliferation or suppression of tumor growth; 2) the MSN-TNFα at higher concentration serves multiple functions, besides tumor targeting and inducer of apoptosis through extrinsic pathway, it inhibits the expression level of p-glycoprotein (P-gp), a cell membrane protein that functions as a drug efflux pump; 3) the enormous surface area of MSN provides for TNFα functionalization, and the nanochannels accommodate chemotherapeutics, Dox; 4) targeted intracellular release of Dox through the pH-dependent cleavage of hydrazone bonds induces apoptosis by the specific intrinsic pathway; and 5) TNFα-PEG-MSN-Hydrazone-Dox (MSN-Dox-TNFα) could infiltrate deep into the 3D spheroid tumor model through disintegration of tight junction proteins. When administered intratumorally in a Dox-resistant mouse tumor model, MSN-Dox-TNFα exhibited a synergistic therapeutic effect through the collective performances of TNFα and Dox. Conclusion: We hereby develop and demonstrate a multifunctional MSN-Dox-TNFα system with concentration-tailored TNFα that can abrogate the drug resistance mechanism, and significantly inhibit the tumor growth through both intrinsic and extrinsic apoptosis pathways, thus making it a highly potential nanomedicine translated in the treatment of MDR tumors.

OBJECTIVE: Both milrinone and levosimendan have been used in patients undergoing surgical closure of ventricular septal defects (VSD) with pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH); however, the evidence base for their use is limited. In the present study, the authors sought to compare the role of levosimendan and milrinone in the prevention of low-cardiac-output syndrome in the early postoperative period. DESIGN: A prospective, randomized, controlled trial. SETTING: At a tertiary-care center. PARTICIPANTS: Children between 1 month and 12 years presenting with VSD and PAH between 2018 and 2020. INTERVENTIONS: A total of 132 patients were randomized into the following 2 groups: Group L (levosimendan group) and Group M (milrinone group). MEASUREMENTS AND MAIN RESULTS: In addition to conventional hemodynamic parameters, the authors also included a myocardial performance index assessment to compare the groups. The levosimendan group had significantly lower mean arterial pressure while coming off cardiopulmonary bypass, after shifting to intensive therapy unit, as well as at 3 and 6 hours postoperatively. The duration of ventilation (29.6 ± 13.9 hours v 23.2 ± 13.3 hours; p = 0.012), as well as postoperative intensive care unit stay, were significantly prolonged in the levosimendan group (5.48 ± 1.2 v 4.7 ± 1.3 days, p = 0.003). There were 2 (1.6%) in-hospital deaths in the entire cohort, 1 in each arm. There was no difference in the myocardial performance index of the left or right ventricle. CONCLUSIONS: In patients undergoing surgical repair for VSD with PAH, levosimendan does not confer any additional benefit compared to milrinone. Both milrinone and levosimendan appear to be safe in this cohort.

INTRODUCTION: Patients with advanced heart failure (HF) have high morbidity and mortality, with only a small proportion being eligible for advanced therapies. Intermittent outpatient levosimendan infusion has been shown to provide symptomatic relief and reduce the rate of HF events. Our aim was to assess the safety and efficacy of outpatient levosimendan administration in an advanced HF population. METHODS: This is a report of a single-center experience of consecutive advanced HF patients referred for intermittent intravenous outpatient administration of levosimendan, between January 2018 and March 2021. Baseline and follow-up evaluation included clinical assessment, laboratory tests, transthoracic echocardiography and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Baseline and clinical follow-up data were compared using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. RESULTS: A total of 24 patients (60.8 years, 83% male, mean left ventricular ejection fraction [LVEF] 24%), with a median of 1.5 HF hospitalizations in the previous six months, were referred for outpatient levosimendan pulses, the majority as a bridge to transplantation or due to clinical deterioration. At six-month follow-up there was a significant reduction in HF hospitalizations to 0.4±0.7 (p<0.001). NYHA class IV (52.2% to 12.5%, p=0.025) and NT-proBNP (8812.5 to 3807.4 pg/ml, p=0.038) were also significantly reduced. Exercise capacity was significantly improved, including peak oxygen uptake (p=0.043) and VE/VCO2 slope (p=0.040). LVEF improved from 24.0% to 29.7% (p=0.008). No serious adverse events were reported. CONCLUSION: Repeated levosimendan administration in advanced HF patients is a safe procedure and was associated with a reduction in HF hospitalizations, functional and LVEF improvement, and reduction in NT-proBNP levels during follow-up.

Pulmonary hypertension, defined as an increase in mean arterial pressure > 20 mmHg, is a chronic and progressive condition with high mortality and morbidity. Drug therapy of patients with pulmonary hypertension is based on the distinctive pathophysiologic aspect that characterizes the different groups. However, recently, levosimendan, a calcium-sensitizing agent with inotropic, pulmonary vasodilator, and cardioprotective properties, has been shown to be an effective and safe therapeutic strategy for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (in addition to specific drugs) and pulmonary hypertension associated with left heart disease (as possible treatment). This review provides a comprehensive overview of the current evidence on the use of levosimendan in patients with pulmonary hypertension.

Inotropic agents are generally recommended to use in patients with acute decompensated heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) concurrent to end-organ dysfunction. However, due to certain pharmacological limitations like developing life threatening arrhythmia and tolerance, cannot be employed as much as needed. Meanwhile, Calcium ion (Ca2+) sensitisers exhibits their inotropic action by increasing the sensitivity of the cardiomyocyte to intracellular Ca2+ ion and have been reported as emerging therapeutic alternative in HF cases. Levosimendan (LEVO) is an inodilator and with its unique pharmacology justifying its use in a wide range of cardiac alterations in HF particularly in undergoing cardiac surgery. It is also reported to be better than classical inotropes in maintaining cardiac mechanical efficacy and reducing congestion in acute HF with hypotension. This review paper was designed to compile various evidence about basic pharmacology and potential clinical aspects of LEVO in cardiac surgery and other HF associated alterations. This will benefit directly to the researcher in initiating research and to fill the gaps in the area of thrust.

OBJECTIVE: This study was designed to compare the effects of levosimendan and dobutamine on hemodynamics and clinical efficacy in patients with severe septic cardiomyopathy (left ventricular ejection fraction [LVEF] ≤35%). DESIGN: A prospective, single-blind, randomized controlled study. SETTING: In Baoding, China. PARTICIPANTS: Thirty patients with severe septic cardiomyopathy treated in the authors' hospital's Department of Critical Medicine from September 2018 to September 2021 were enrolled in this study. INTERVENTIONS: These patients were divided randomly into the levosimendan group and dobutamine group. The LVEF, cardiac index (CI), stroke volume index (SVI), systemic vascular resistance index, heart rate, norepinephrine dose, and lactate at the time of enrollment and the 24th hour were compared, along with myocardial injury markers on the third day, C-reactive protein, mechanical ventilation time, length of intensive care unit (ICU) stay, cost, and 28-day mortality. The primary outcome was 28-day mortality. MEASUREMENTS AND MAIN RESULTS: At the 24th hour after treatment, CI, LVEF, SVI, and fluid volume were found to be higher in the levosimendan group than in the dobutamine group, whereas the dose of norepinephrine was lower in the former rather than the latter group. On the third day of treatment, cardiac troponin I in the levosimendan group was lower than that in the dobutamine group. Although the differences in 28-day mortality, ICU stay, and ICU treatment cost between the groups were not statistically significant, the ventilator application time of the levosimendan group was significantly shorter than that of the dobutamine group. CONCLUSIONS: Compared with dobutamine, levosimendan was more effective at improving cardiac function, reducing myocardial injury, and reducing mechanical ventilation time in patients with severe septic cardiomyopathy.

Tuberculosis remains an important cause of morbidity and mortality throughout the world. Notably, an important number of multi drug resistant cases is an increasing concern. This problem points to an urgent need for novel compounds with antimycobacterial properties and to improve existing therapies. Whole-cell-based screening for compounds with activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex strains in the presence of linezolid was performed in this study. A set of 15 bioactive compounds with antimycobacterial activity in vitro were identified with a minimal inhibitory concentration of less than 2 µg/mL. Among them, compound 1 is a small molecule with a chemical structure consisting of an adamantane moiety and a hydrazide-hydrazone moiety. Whole genome sequencing of spontaneous mutants resistant to the compounds suggested compound 1 to be a new inhibitor of MmpL3. This compound binds to the same pocket as other already published MmpL3 inhibitors, without disturbing the proton motive force of M. bovis BCG and M. smegmatis. Compound 1 showed a strong activity against a panel ofclinical strains of M. tuberculosis in vitro. This compound showed no toxicity against mammalian cells and protected Galleria mellonella larvae against M. bovis BCG infection. These results suggest that compound 1 is a promising anti-TB agent with the potential to improve TB treatment in combination with standard TB therapies.

Hetrombopag is the only CFDA-approved thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist for severe aplastic anemia (SAA) in China. Its chemical structure has an iron chelation domain. To explore the iron chelation effect of hetrombopag, we performed a post hoc analysis of the phase II clinical trial (NCT03557099). Thirty-five immunosuppressive therapy (IST)-refractory SAA patients were enrolled in the study, and the longitudinal changes of serum ferritin (SF) were assessed. At 18 weeks post-hetrombopag initiation, 51.4% of patients showed decreased SF levels by a median of 49.0 (18.1-95.5) % from baseline (median ΔSF decrease value, 917.2 ng/ml, range from 104.0 to 7030.0 ng/ml). A decrease in SF was found in 75.0% of hematologic responders and 31.6% of non-responders. Among the 24 patients with iron overload, 12 had decreased SF levels by up to 51% of the baseline. Patients with normal SF levels also showed decreased SF levels, and iron deficiency occurred in two patients. In conclusion, hetrombopag showed a powerful and rapid iron chelation effect.

Levosimendan was introduced into routine clinical practice in 2000, obtaining approval for the treatment of decompensation of severe chronic heart failure. Levosimendan increases the calcium sensitivity of contractile proteins by binding to myocardial troponin C (cTnC) in a calcium dependent manner. Apart from the mechanism of action of levosimendan, resulting directly in the improvement of heart function, a number of pleiotropic mechanisms have also been identified, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-apoptotic effects. Pharmacokinetics of levosimendan is linear in a therapeutic dose range i.e. from 0.05 to 0.2 µg/kg/min. Therapeutic concentration of levosimendan is reached approximately 1 h after the start of intravenous infusion, and steady state is reached within 5 h after continuous infusion initiation. OR-1855 and OR-1896 are the only significant metabolites detected in the systemic circulation after administration of levosimendan. After a 24-hour infusion of levosimendan, the pharmacodynamic effect of the drug is observed for at least one week. Repetitive levosimendan infusions are safe and multiple infusions of levosimendan show a number of benefits. However, experience with multiple doses of levosimendan is scarce. The protocols of clinical trials conducted so far on repeated and intermittent infusions of levosimendan were developed subjectively and were based on the opinion of experts forming a given research team. There is still a need for more clinical research on the multidirectional effect of levosimendan in the group of patients with heart failure. The aim of this review was to summarize most relevant and up-to-date scientific data on pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic basis of levosimendan repetitive use in clinical practice that may assist in bedside decision making.

Biliary tract cancer (BTC) is constituted by a heterogeneous group of malignant tumors that may develop in the biliary tract, and it is the second most common liver cancer. Human ribonucleotide reductase M1 (hRRM1) has already been proven to be a potential BTC target. In the current study, a de novo design approach was used to generate novel and effective chemical therapeutics for BTC. A set of comprehensive pharmacoinformatics approaches was implemented and, finally, seventeen potential molecules were found to be effective for the modulation of hRRM1 activity. Molecular docking, negative image-based ShaEP scoring, absolute binding free energy, in silico pharmacokinetics, and toxicity assessments corroborated the potentiality of the selected molecules. Almost all molecules showed higher affinity in comparison to gemcitabine and naphthyl salicylic acyl hydrazone (NSAH). On binding interaction analysis, a number of critical amino acids was found to hold the molecules at the active site cavity. The molecular dynamics (MD) simulation study also indicated the stability between protein and ligands. High negative MM-GBSA (molecular mechanics generalized Born and surface area) binding free energy indicated the potentiality of the molecules. Therefore, the proposed molecules might have the potential to be effective therapeutics for the management of BTC.

The search for new drug candidates against Alzheimer's disease (AD) remains a complex challenge for medicinal chemists due to its multifactorial pathogenesis and incompletely understood physiopathology. In this context, we have explored the molecular hybridization of pharmacophore structural fragments from known bioactive molecules, aiming to obtain a novel molecular architecture in new chemical entities capable of concomitantly interacting with multiple targets in a so-called multi-target directed ligands (MTDLs) approach. This work describes the synthesis of 4-hydroxymethyl)piperidine-N-benzyl-acyl-hydrazone derivatives 5a-l, designed as novel MTDLs, showing improved multifunctional properties compared to the previously reported parent series of N-benzyl-(3-hydroxy)piperidine-acyl-hydrazone derivatives 4. The new improved derivatives were studied in silico, regarding their mode of interaction with AChE enzyme, and in vitro, for evaluation of their effects on the selective inhibition of cholinesterases, cellular antioxidant, and neuroprotective activities as their cytotoxicity in human neuroblastoma (SH-SY5Y) cells. Overall, compound PQM-181 (5 k) showed the best balanced selective and non-competitive inhibition of AChE (IC50 = 5.9 µM, SI > 5.1), with an additional antioxidant activity (IC50 = 7.45 µM) against neuronal t-BOOH-induced oxidative stress and neuroprotective ability against neurotoxicity elicited by both t-BOOH and OAß1-42, and a moderate ability to interfere in Aß1-42 aggregates, with low cytotoxicity and good predictive druggability properties, suggesting a multifunctional pharmacological profile suitable for further drug development against AD.

BACKGROUND: Low cardiac output syndrome (LCOS) after congenital cardiac surgery has an incidence of up to 25%. Preventing and treating LCOS is of pivotal importance as LCOS is associated with excess morbidity and mortality. OBJECTIVES: This systematic review assesses the safety and efficacy of peri-operative levosimendan administration in the setting of paediatric cardiac surgery. DESIGN: Systematic review of randomised controlled trials. Meta-analyses were performed on efficacy and exploratory outcomes. DATA SOURCES: Literature was searched in the following databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE, Web of Science and CENTRAL) from inception to July 2021. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Randomised controlled trials comparing levosimendan with other inotropes or placebo in children younger than 18 years of age undergoing cardiac surgery. RESULTS: Nine studies enrolling a total of 539 children could be included in the systematic review. All trials study the prophylactic administration of levosimendan in comparison with placebo ( n   =  2), milrinone ( n  = 6) or dobutamine ( n   =  1). Levosimendan dosing varied considerably with only three studies using a loading dose. Levosimendan reduced the incidence of LCOS [risk ratio (RR) 0.80] [95% confidence interval (CI), 0.40 to 0.89, P  = 0.01] and increased cardiac index (MD 0.17 l min -1  m -2 ) (95% CI, 0.06 to 0.28, P  = 0.003) without affecting other outcomes (mortality, ICU length of stay, hospital length of stay, duration of mechanical ventilation, serum lactate, central venous oxygen saturation, serum creatine or acute kidney injury). CONCLUSION: The prophylactic use of levosimendan in children undergoing cardiac surgery reduced the incidence of LCOS and increased cardiac index compared with other inotropes or placebo. This effect did not translate into an improvement of other clinical endpoints.

Background: Tetralogy of Fallot is one of the most frequent cyanotic heart diseases in our country, occupying the second place reported by the national health program 2007- 2012 and its prevalence is around 11%. Patients undergoing correction for tetralogy of Fallot are considered patients with a prolonged ischemic time and a high risk of presenting low cardiac output syndrome. Objective: To compare levosimendan with milrinone to prevent low cardiac output syndrome in patients undergoing tetralogy of Fallot correction. Material and methods: Randomized controlled open, prospective, longitudinal and comparative clinical trial. The sample size consisted of 19 patients, with a 95% confidence level. Group 1: levosimendan 0.1 mcg/kg/min from anesthetic induction. Group 2: conventional management with milrinone 0.5 mcg/kg/min. Results: When comparing the final measurements, it can be observed that the mean arterial pressure of the intervention group (levosimendan) was statistically significant (p = 0.04), both in the intraoperative measurement and in the final measurement. When comparing uresis, we found that the intervention group had a greater amount of uresis (p = 0.03). Regarding lactate, both in the intraoperative measurement (p = 0.002) and in the final measurement (p = 0.02), a lower amount was found in the intervention group. Conclusions: The results in favor of the use of levosimendan were reported, demonstrating the prevention of low cardiac output syndrome.


Introducción: la tetralogía de Fallot es una de las cardiopatías cianóticas más frecuentes de nuestro país, pues ocupa el segundo lugar reportado por el Programa Nacional de Salud 2007-2012 y su prevalencia se sitúa aproximadamente en 11%. Los pacientes sometidos a corrección de tetralogía de Fallot se consideran pacientes con un tiempo de isquemia prolongado y con riesgo alto de presentar síndrome de bajo gasto cardiaco. Objetivo: comparar levosimendán con milrinona para prevenir el síndrome de bajo gasto cardiaco en pacientes operados de corrección de tetralogía de Fallot. Material y métodos: ensayo clínico aleatorizado, controlado, abierto, prospectivo, longitudinal y comparativo. El tamaño de la muestra se estimó en 19 pacientes, con un nivel de confianza del 95%. En el grupo 1 se empleó 0.1 mcg/kg/min de levosimendán desde la inducción anestésica; en el grupo 2 se usó el manejo convencional con milrinona de 0.5 mcg/kg/min. Resultados: al comparar las mediciones finales se pudo observar que la presión arterial media del grupo de intervención (levosimendán) fue estadísticamente significativa (p = 0.04), tanto en la medición transoperatoria como en la medición final. Al comparar la uresis encontramos que el grupo con intervención tuvo mayor cantidad de uresis (p = 0.03). En cuanto al lactato, tanto en la medición transoperatoria (p = 0.002) como en la medición final (p = 0.02) se encontró una menor cantidad en el grupo de intervención. Conclusiones: se reportaron los resultados a favor del uso del levosimendán, pues se demostró que previene el síndrome de bajo gasto cardiaco.
